NRC Taxis are supporting Worlds AIDS Day by distributing free condoms on Grafton Street, Dublin to mark World AIDS Day.
On Saturday November 28th NRC will be handing out condoms to adults over eighteen in Dublin city centre between 7pm and 10pm to raise awareness of this important day.
World AIDS Day is held on 1 December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. World AIDS Day was the first ever global health day and the first one was held in 1988.
There are an estimated 34 million living with HIV globally. More than 35 million people have died from the virus, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.
HIV Ireland offer free HIV and STI testing the second and fourth Wednesday of every month (dates may vary due to public holidays). Doors open 1:00pm. For further information on HIV Ireland’s testing service and testing dates, please see: www.hivireland.ie.
