Christmas lists are finally being written so it’s definitely time to hit the shops and get your Christmas shopping done ahead of the crowds! There certainly is no shortage of choice in Dublin in fact it’s more a case of which shopping centre will I pick!

Blanchardstown Shopping Centre
With over 180 stores, 3 Retail Parks and 25 Restaurants, you should find everything you need in the Blanchardstown shopping centre. With Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, BT2, French Connection, H&M, Topshop, River Island, Oasis, Warehouse, Zara, Dunnes Stores & Penneys most tastes are covered.
Importantly there is a nice big Smyths Toystore which opens late Monday to Friday with plenty parking outside.
Highlights in the retail parks include DFS, Harvey Norman, Currys/PC World, Woodies DIY, and Home Store & More., TKMaxx, Lifestyle Sports & 53 Degrees North.
The 4 Star Crowne Plaza Hotel is also on the grounds so handy if you are up in Dublin for the night!
Located just off the M50 and with ample free parking it is easy enough to access.
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre
Moving further south you come across Liffey Valley shopping centre with almost 100 outlets including a huge Boots, Next, Benetton, Coast , Promod, Jonnie Cupcakes, Tommy Hilfiger, a large Marks & Spencer, Topshop,, Oasis, Wallis, Vero Moda, Dunnes Stores most tastes are covered.
There is a massive choice of restaurants located in the Food Hall so everyone can have what they like!
Plenty in the retails parks too with Carphone Warehouse, Currys/ PC World and Argos and B&Q.
The Clarion Hotel is also right beside the retail park so you can make a night of it and stay there – they even have a swimming pool!
Dundrum Town Centre
Dundrum Town Centre is a shoppers paradise with around 170 shops to choose from including House of Fraser, Coast, BT2, Fatface, French Connection, Harvey Nichols, Hobbs, Hollister, Keren Millen, LK Bennett and of course Pennys just to balance things up.
You have to pay for parking €2 for 3 hours but Tesco on the top floor will validate your parking if you spend over €30, so if you plan on being longer than 3 hours, maybe do a food shop too!
There is a fantastic range of restaurants including Jamie’s Italian, Mao and Dunne & Crescenzi.
They have an ice rink at Christmas so finish off the day in the ice!
Not forgetting the northside, Swords Pavillion has a fantastic selection of stores for all tastes with over 80 great shops, restaurants and cafes as well as the 11 screen Movies@Swords cinema.
This shopping centre is located on the Malahide Road just off the M1 with over 2000 car parking spaces and the first 2 hours free.
Let’s not forget about Dublin city centre with a compete revamp of Dublin’s Henry Street boasting a fantastic Arnotts, The Ilac Centre, The Jervis Shopping Centre, Clerys on O’Connel Street, Stephens Green Shopping centre and Grafton Street. You can really soak up the atmosphere in town and a must for everyone at Christmas!
Christmas markets are always really festive and for the first time ever there will be a Christmas Market in St Stephens Green from 15 Nov to 22 December. The Docklands market is always a real hit and this one takes place between 13 and 22 December.
